How often do I need to have the oil changed in my vehicle?
Section 7 of your owner's manual gives a full explanation of the types of maintenance as well as the time intervals when the services should be performed.

What should I do if I think my Nissan vehicle needs service?
You should always call a Nissan dealer, even if you aren't sure that your vehicle requires service. A simple call could help you avoid bigger costs and inconvenience later.

How can I obtain the key code for my vehicle?
Go to your nearest Nissan Service Centre, show your registration card plus a valid ID and request for a duplicate key.

What should I do to repair my vehicle after a collision?
Call your nearest Nissan Service Centre – Bodyshop Section for assistance and be assured that original Nissan Parts will be used to keep your vehicle running at an optimal level.

How large of a down payment do I need to make?
The bigger your initial payment is, the less you will have to finance. With a lower amount to finance, your total interest charges will also be less. No one knows your personal situation as well as you do, so knowing how much you can afford to pay each month, and planning accordingly is always advisable. Also consider other expenses when doing your planning.

Can't I make more money selling my car on my own?
While you might make more money (trade-in value vs. resale value) selling your car on your own, trading it in offers several advantages:

  • You can get immediate cash or credit.
  • The dealer handles the paperwork and might pay off your current loan.
  • You won't have to deal with running ads, strangers in your home and car, bad checks, or liability for mechanical problems.

What to do after a collision?
We've compiled some helpful tips to remember to help reduce the confusion that often follows a collision. We recommend you read this section and print out the forms to keep them in your vehicle to help you be better prepared in the event of an accident.

After a collision:

  • Turn on your hazard warning lights and move to the side of the road, if possible.
  • Before exiting the vehicle, assess the situation. Are you injured? Is it safe to leave the vehicle? If there are any injuries, ask someone to call the police. Then wait for the police to arrive. If on a highway, for your safety we recommend you wait for police in your vehicle.
  • Stay clear of traffic, exchange the contact and insurance information with the other party. However, do not discuss the accident with the other party or admit fault.
  • Report the accident to the police.
  • Call your insurance representative to initiate a claim.
